Here is a feature that I have been longing for even with regular forums (not only the Forums in dotproject):
I am collaborating with several people, and we currently use Yahoo groups to send E-mails. All the E-mails sent to the Yahoo grp are going out to the members and to the "Forum" on Yahoo (a single category). Thus no need to log into the "Forum", but I can go to the "Forum" to follow the E-mails if I want to.
It would would be great if something like this could be implemented in the dotproject Forums as well;
1. Currently, if something is posted in a Forum, all users receive an E-mail copy of it (provided that they subscribe/watch it of course).
2. Currently, to respond they need to log in to the Forum and post it there.
3. It would be really useful, if I instead the user could E-mail the response directly to the Forum and topic (by clicking reply- the E-mail is sent from the topic at hand).
4. In this way users don't have to use both E-mails and forums to discuss, and then to try to remember where it was discussed. The Forum is simply a way for everyone to track the subjects at a central location, while still using E-mail!
