Can someone please help? Every time I try to submit a ticket, it only takes 5-6 words out of the first sentense in the Discription of Problem area and does not display the rest.

What can I do to fix the problem?

Also, I don't see any way how to add a task in the tasks module.

THANKS!!!

Are you using a translation that uses acute/grave accents? Is there any quotations or other characters that might be terminating the sentence? Do you have < or > in the sentence? All of these should be allowed, but it may be that they are not being handled correctly. It would be good if you could isolate exactly what sorts of words it breaks on.

Uhm... I don't think I used any < > in my text. It's strange. I could have used "/"

Let me try again... Hold on :)

Thank you for your reply, by the way!

Is this submiting a new ticket in Tickets or in HelpDesk and if in Tckets, is it via email or the [new ticket] link? Can you give an example of a description that fails, and the point at which it fails?

It is just in Tickets and it is just in submitting with the new ticket link. If someone replys all of that text seems to make it in.

Below is a copy of a couple of messages...

"
Hey Deb:

Cheryl called regarding a Case Mangement Statement she received, she has"....the rest is missing

"
I talked to David XXXXX regarding Arbitration and set the appointment
between he and Channels office for Sept. 29th at 1:00. The reveiw is the
next day but this is all I could get. XXXXX told me that XXXXX /XXXX,
his client is willing and has authorized settling with XXXXX for original "

This one may have been clipped but if so it was after quite a few additional characters. In the field type in the database it is text. Would switching it to longtext have any affect? Thanks for everything it is a great program!!

Sounds like form field limits rather than database or other limits. The new ticket button was an add-on. Originally the only way to add a ticket was via email, so it is no surprise that emailed replies work. Can you lodge a bug on http://www.dotproject.net/mantis and someone will look into it.
