Hi All;
:)
I love "dotproject" so much (99% satisfied); the most wonderful thing is that it works under Linux/Windows (which is the 50% of my satisfaction ;) )...
Well, please excuse me if this topic is repeated somewhere else in this forum.
From my experience; I really miss one thing, I miss a way that we could announce and alarm our colleagues with an incidence or major news happening in our projects.
For example; A key player in our project get injured and he can't continue for at least three weeks ahead, in this case a lot of our plans , forms and e-mails (i.e. communications plans) must take this in consideration. I think the best thing I could start with is announcing such news and related impacts in our lovely project's portal..
Two ways of implementing this module (you can choose both).
1) Once user login, there is a tab or a part of the screen dedicated for the latest news and announcements, the user also can go to old news as well.
2) Mailing list where this news could be e-mailed to.
Once this module sees the light, I am sure there are plenty of features that will make our life easier; as such we always expect improvements...this is a regular example of successful software.
