I submitted this bug (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=956970&group_id=21656&atid=372483) and was wondering if anyone had some quick tips on it. Should I assume this is something that will be worked on later when gateway.pl is intergrated with helpdesk? Or is this something I should go a head and just tweak my self?
I just checked with ajdonnison who did a lot of work recently on gateway.pl and he advised getting the latest version from CVS as we're pretty sure that the behaviour you are describing has now been fixed. Let us know how you go.

I'll check out the latest CVS tomorrow at work again. In the mean time, I checked out the lastest copy of it on the web CVS, I noticed the new addition of debug messages. This is a wonderful idea and I'm very thankfull for it. I've made one modification though. I added $debug_address and kept $report_to_address on its own. I use the $report_to_address as an alias to my support team. This way they are all notified of new tickets.
This might be an idea for the future. To have a separate team-email address for new tickets, and keep debug messages to the admin.

I've grabbed the latest CVS version, and the problem still seems to apply. If an email includes additional headers from a forwarded email, the ticket will fail. If you have the latest CVS version with debug, it will email the admin and tell him it failed. If you don't, it will submit the ticket as ticket #0.
This is rather serious as many legit emails are now being dropped.

I have fixed a bug in gateway.pl this morning and updated the CVS. This may or may not fix the problem. If this doesn't fix the problem could you run it in debug mode and let me know what the debug output is?
