Ticketsmith-Ticket tracking ID and Company names

Would there be an easy way to add a "company select" and an auto generated ticket number in the ticketsmith module?

TicketSmith is to be deprecated in the future, so changing it would be a waste of time for the project.

If it is possible? yes. How to make it? Should be custom made.

That would be a heck of a feature for us too. A costumer that has an ongoing project with us, once it's finished we provide ongoing support. Ticketsmith is a great way of associating support request to the client.

Being able to select the customer from a list and respectivelly associate the ticket with a task would definetelly do it for us.

I'll see if I can get a programmer here to work on it and if I'm successfull at it, I'll post the results.
