popup calander works for project but not tasks

I have a problem setting up tasks because the popup calander does not popup and I think this is why I am not able to save a task. It does popup when creating projects though. This is on a windows 2000 machine connecting to a linux webserver.

Intersetingly the popup works for projects and tasks on the linux webserver.

Any ideas, the majority of users will be accessing through windows 2000

Solution: Not quite sure what I did, but had a play with the internet security setting, and Norton Firewall and anti-virus.

I checked to see if I had the same problem when I ran the demo. I did. so I guessed it was something to do with browser settings etc. as I am sure this would be considered a big bug if it was a problem for everyone.

If I narrow it down to exactly which of these it was I will post another reply.

Maybe this will help someone else. Try with the demo. If you still have the problem you can tell it is not your installation and begin looking at browser setings.

definitely a problem with Norton. I just ran into the same problem and tried switching of Norton security center and that was it...... It is the add blocking feature. Switch it off and all goes back to normal.... Something to do maybe with the word "add" in the link of dotproject.

Most popup blockers allow a popup when it is explicitly opened via an action... such as clicking on something.

Get Firefox and you won't need a popup blocker anyway.
