All,
I am new here and new to dotProject in general.

Just so you all know what my basic config is (and please feel free to ask for more info if it is relevant) I am running windows XP, I installed Apache2triad, and made one tweak away from the default install (I changed the port in httpd.conf away from 80 so as not to conflict with IIS which I also run for work purposes).

I installed dotProject and all is by and large good. I made the little one line fix to correct the irritating dependencies bug which was easy.

Now, to the meat of my current issue. I click on a project, I click on the Gantt Chart tab and get the following error message appearing below the various filter options

JpGraph Error
General PHP Error : var: Deprecated. Please use the public/private/protected modifiers

I am sure this question has been asked and answered (and yes, I did search for it, but maybe on the wrong things). Can someone point me in the right direction.

Cheers
Jo

Oh good. Clearly I've found a problem that either
a. No one cares about :)
b. Confuses everyone to the point where they don't bother responding
c. Indicates that no one else is alive in these forums

could it be (and this is probably the answer) that apache2triad installs PHP 5.0.4 (which I understand to not be supported). If that is the case, how do I successfully install a lower version of PHP, or modify the code to work around this?

Ah well... waiting in anticipation

I don't think that's one of the usual errors that comes with PHP5... are you sure you have jpgraph installed?

Casey,
I assumed (and you know what they say about assumption) that jpGraph installed when I installed dotProject. Is that not the case?

If I don't have it installed, I assume (drat - another assumption) that I can go to the wiki and find what I need?

It comes with dotproject.

All,
I answered my own question. Seeing as this is just a test installation thus far, I had nothing to lose by blowing it all away. So, thats exactly what I did!

Then I reinstalled apache2triad 1.4.2 (previously I had used 1.5.2 which installs an unsupported version of PHP), reinstalled dotProject, and now all seems well with the world.

Thanks all for the input

Cheers
Jo
