Task completed without start & finish date?

I marked some tasks as 100% completed and noticed the start and finish dates were shown on the calendar. This was not desired so by clearing the calendar dates I removedthe dates form the task. Though the task shows as 100% completed (no start & finish date) it still shows in the list of unfinished tasks.

For this project I have no use of dates. Is there a way to have full functnoality without using the dates?

The task needs to have a percentage of 100% and a finish date to be considered completed.
