cvs update problem on previous install

I have been working with a a cvs install of about 6 weeks old (I think, don't quote me on this).

Fortunately I backed up the date first... 'cause now I have a problem!

Now when I try to run dotproject I m returned with the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain/httpsdocs/dotproject/includes/db_connect.php on line 26

I've got know idea what this means... could anyone please offer me some assistance on this matter...

And before you ask yes I did try the latest-update.php script but no banana I still get the same error.

The most likely cause is a change in the config file config.php. Check the includes/config-dist.php for differences.
