The SourceForge page for dotmods has a link at the top called CVS. This explains how to use the anonymous CVS. The helpdesk module is called, not unreasonably, helpdesk. If you are running on Windows then you need to get a CVS client like tortoiseCVS (also on Sourceforge, do a search), on Linux/UNIX/FreeBSD it is standard.
