Only have two users. If I log in as admin I get a 2:00 login. Login as my other user and I'm in in less than :02 seconds.
I have 30 projects each with about 150 tasks and admin sees them all. Other user sees only 1 project so obviously the problem has something to do with the volume of tasks.
I have Enable Cache checked on. I've created a /tmp folder in a number of different places since I can find nowhere online that says simply where to put the damn thing.
I've turned off every module that doesn't come with dp by default. I even called my hosting company and asked them but they predictably say its not their deal, it's a program cache thing.
Just spent 3 hours reading every post on the topic and I find nothing current that would be helpful without at least a bachelor's degree in programming.
This problem seems to have been going on for at least 6-7 years now and it hasn't been fixed in the core?? Odd.
How do I speed this thing up so it doesn't take 2:00 minutes to log in?
UPDATE: I had Tasks set as my default module. I changed it back to Projects and I'm in lickety-split. As long as I don't set Tasks to default or click on Tasks from the nav-bar at the top, I'm good.
I will say that I have quite a number of files attached to these tasks and there's a dl of almost 5 megs (hence the 2 minute login) every time I login with Tasks as the default. I'll bet if I delete those files things will speed up considerably, too. Still sucks that you have to play ''around" these things to get it to work fast.
